Glass Canopy Systems
Glass Canopy FAQs
What type of glass canopies are available?
Glass canopies are available in many shapes, sizes and designs and can be made using a whole host of different materials and fittings. DioMet have several standard canopy designs to choose from online in varying widths to suit most applications however as specialist architectural metalworkers, we often make individual canopies to suit architects drawings or customer sketches.

Where does the water drain off the canopy?
The canopy drainage system will depend on your own requirements and water can often be directed to run off to the desired side by installing with a minor tilt, particularly on smaller porch canopies. Larger canopy designs, or those used in commercial applications are often designed with guttering systems to take larger quantities of water and direct them through downpipes into underwater drains.
Are your canopies easy to install?
Our standard canopies that are available to buy online are all simple to install with basic DIY skills or could equally be installed by any local builder or tradesman. For larger or more complicated canopies, we highly recommend leaving installation to the professionals and contact DioMet for a supply and installation quote.
Can I get a bespoke size?
Absolutely. All our canopies are manufactured in our workshop in Sheffield so variations can be dealt with easily. We offer ultimate flexibility by being able to design and manufacture our own canopy products to suit all customer needs – there is often a need to tweak a design to suit each individual building construction, ensuring perfect fitment.
How long does a glass canopy take to manufacture?
We have several designs and sizes in stock, ready to be collected or delivered in a matter of days. Any bespoke glass door canopy can take between 3 and 5 weeks to complete depending on the complexity of the design and the specific materials used.
