Glass Staircase Panels - Lake District

DioMet recently supplied a number of bespoke glass spindle panels to a customer in the UK Lake District. The toughened safety glass panels were supplied to replace existing timber spindles that are traditionally installed in many older properties to enhance the landing area, bring light into the hallway and to add a modern touch of design.

The curved glass spindle panels are 10mm thick and complete with brushed finish stainless steel glass clamps to secure into place top and bottom. Replacing timber spindles is a simple DIY task that our client has undertaken themselves saving £100's on professional installation and expensive local glass suppliers.

We recently received the below email thanking us for the service and including the pictures of the completed job :

"Please find attached some pictures of the finished staircase.

This really has transformed a dark and old-fashioned staircase into a modern looking one (albeit still being in a 1900s terraced house).

The bannister rails were dark varnished previously, but now stripped, waxed and polished, and a new stainless one put on the small stair turnaround (to match the brackets on the glass).

Our friends and neighbours think it looks very smart.
