316 stainless steel glass clamps for 17.5mm toughened laminated glass, brushed finish.

17.5mm is what we supply for an external frameless balustrade with no handrail — nothing at the sides, nothing along the top, and outdoors with wind loading to take. The laminated build-up means a broken panel stays in the opening rather than leaving a gap.

Material and where it can go

316 stainless steel, brushed finish. 316 is the marine grade — it is what you want outdoors, and it is what we would specify near the coast. Suitable for internal and external use alike.

All our fittings are 316 stainless unless the listing says otherwise. Where a fitting is plated steel rather than stainless we say so plainly, because the two look identical and only one of them belongs outside.

Fixing

Fixes to timber, steel or masonry with a concealed fixing behind the clamp body. Rubber inserts pack the glass and take up tolerance.

These take our 17.5mm toughened laminated glass — two 8mm panes bonded with a 1.5mm interlayer.
