Simple Installation Guide – Fitting your loop and cleat pole is straightforward for everyday users:

1. Prepare a hole at the recommended depth (typically 500mm for secure footing).
2. Insert the post or socket, check for level, and set with concrete.
3. Use Postcrete for rapid hardening in 5-10 minutes.
4. Attach your line via the loop and secure down to the tie-off cleat.
5. Let it cure for at least 24 hours before loading.

What goes with it

The loop at the top takes a pole pulley, sold separately, which is what lets you raise and lower the line rather than pegging out at a fixed height. You only need a pulley at the end you want to adjust from. With a pole at each end of the run that can be one side only, or both if you would rather work from either end. Also useful: a galvanised ground socket so the pole lifts out for mowing or winter, steel core washing line, a line prop, and heavy duty metal pegs.

Why ours costs more than a supermarket pole

The cheap end of this market is imported and painted rather than galvanised, usually under 1mm wall thickness. This is 42mm tube with a 3.2mm wall — more than three times the metal — with the loop and cleat welded on rather than clipped. Made in our own Sheffield workshop by a family firm of over 35 years.
