Galvanised Steel Ground Socket for Washing Line Poles

A 500mm hot dip galvanised ground socket that takes either of our washing line poles, 40x40mm square or 42.4mm diameter. Concrete it into the ground once and the pole simply drops in and lifts back out whenever you want the space clear.

The socket is sized as a sliding fit rather than a tight one, so the pole comes out easily by hand without needing to be worked loose. There is a drainage hole in the base so water runs away instead of sitting in the tube.

A separate black plastic bung is available to cap the socket when the pole is out, keeping dirt and debris out of the tube and leaving a flush finish underfoot.

Fitting

1. Dig your hole and set the socket in place, checking it is level and plumb.
2. Concrete around it and leave the concrete to fully cure.
3. Drop the pole in.
