Handrails made in Sheffield to whatever the job needs. The standard patterns cover most stairs and steps, but plenty of what leaves here is one-off — a curve, a crank, a downturn, a run that changes direction halfway.

Wall fixed

Fitted to the wall on side brackets, typically three woodscrews per bracket. They can be made as straight sections, or with bends, cranks and downturns worked into the rail.

If your run is straight, you do not need a bespoke quote — buy it online. Stainless, galvanised and powder coated and powder coated straight sections all come pre-drilled with the brackets, and go up in minutes.

Ground fixed

Made either to cast into the ground or to bolt down onto a hard surface, and again they can be curved, cranked or shaped to suit. There are too many variables to price these online, so tell us the situation and we will quote it.

For a standard run on posts, the stainless version and the powder coated version are both available to order directly.

What we need from you

A photograph and a rough measurement is usually enough to start. A sketch helps if there are turns in it. We will come back with a drawing for approval before anything is cut.

Finishes

Stainless in 304 for inside or 316 for outside, or mild steel galvanised and powder coated to any RAL colour. Anything going outside is galvanised first, whatever colour goes on top. See our material and finish standards.

Guarding a drop

If the run has an open side with a fall off it, a handrail alone is often not what is wanted — a balustrade fills the gap rather than sitting at hand height. See our balustrade range.
