Material and where it can go

316 stainless steel, brushed finish. 316 is the marine grade — it is what you want outdoors, and it is what we would specify near the coast. Suitable for internal and external use alike.

All our fittings are 316 stainless unless the listing says otherwise. Where a fitting is plated steel rather than stainless we say so plainly, because the two look identical and only one of them belongs outside.

Fixing

Clamps fix directly to timber, steel or masonry with a concealed fixing behind the clamp body, so nothing shows on the face. Rubber inserts pack the glass and take up the tolerance.

These take our 10mm clear toughened glass — also available as 10mm frosted for privacy or 10mm grey tinted — and our 8mm clear toughened glass, which suits internal staircases framed in timber.
