Stainless Steel & Glass Balustrade System 1 (with handrail)

Our most popular balustrade: satin-brushed stainless steel posts and a matching stainless handrail, infilled with 10mm toughened safety glass. It suits staircases, balconies, terraces, decking and landings, and you can buy it by the metre online or have us quote a bespoke run for stairs, angles, gates and anything off the standard grid. Buy it supply-only as a self-install kit, or have us install it for you anywhere in the UK. Everything is made at our Sheffield factory and it is UKCA marked and building-regulation compliant. How the system is built

48mm tubular stainless steel baluster posts, supplied fully assembled
42mm tubular stainless steel handrail, pre-drilled and tapped
10mm toughened safety glass infill, polished edges with radius corners
Base fixing detail to suit your job (see the PDF on the product page)
External-grade 316 stainless with a brushed finish, 320 grit minimum

The 316 grade and 320-grit brushed finish are what let it live outside. For harsher spots (coastal, exposed high-wind sites, swimming pools) we also offer a mirror-polished version; our guide to stainless steel in coastal areas explains why grade and finish matter near salt air.

A supply-only kit built to go together fast

This is designed as a straightforward self-install kit, though we can install it for you on request. The posts arrive fully assembled with base plates, caps, tops and glass clamps already fitted, and the handrail comes pre-drilled, tapped and cut to length with jointed connections, so it bolts straight together on site with basic fixing instructions. That is less time, less cost and fewer mistakes for whoever fits it.

Fixing options

Choose base-fixed, concrete-fixed or side-fixed (side-fixed carries a small per-metre surcharge). If you are not sure which suits your structure, send us a photo and a measurement and we will point you the right way.

How to order

Use the online calculator to pick the fixing detail, total meterage and number of corners. We then get in touch to go over the details and send a drawing for you to confirm, so any adjustments are made before fabrication. Delivery and lead times

Lead times vary with the current workshop schedule, so please ask when you enquire, and we will arrange delivery on a weekday that suits you.

International delivery

We ship worldwide. On made-to-measure runs we quote overseas carriage per order once we have the sizes and delivery address, crated to travel safely.

Looking after it

Stainless steel and glass need only occasional upkeep to stay looking their best, more often near the coast. A wipe-over with any general stainless steel or glass cleaning product is all it takes.
