Stainless Steel & Glass Balustrade System 2 (no handrail)

The same satin-brushed stainless posts and 10mm toughened glass infill as our System 1, but without a top handrail: a clean glass screen for patios, decking, garden divides, wind breaks and privacy screens. Buy it by the metre online or ask us for a bespoke made-to-measure quote. It is made at our Sheffield factory, supply-only as a self-install kit or installed by us if you prefer.

Please read first: where this system suits

System 2 is for non-structural screens that are not guarding a drop, so it has no handrail. If you need to guard a fall in height of more than 600mm, this is not the right product: use our System 1 balustrade with handrail, or ask us to quote a compliant version with laminated glass. How the system is built

48mm tubular stainless steel baluster posts, supplied fully assembled with clamps, base plate and top cap
10mm toughened safety glass infill, polished edges with radius corners
Base fixing detail to suit your job (see the PDF on the product page)
External-grade 316 stainless, satin polished to 320 grit minimum for a brushed finish

A supply-only kit built to go together fast

The posts arrive fully assembled with clamps, base plate and top cap, so the kit goes together on site with reasonable DIY skills and the basic fixing instructions we provide, and we are a phone call away if you need a steer. Prefer not to fit it yourself? We can quote for professional installation too.

Fixing options

Choose base-fixed, concrete-fixed or side-fixed (side-fixed carries a small per-metre surcharge). Not sure which suits your surface? Send a photo and a measurement and we will point you the right way.

How to order

If your run works out close to a round meterage, use the online calculator to pick the fixing detail, meterage and number of corners. We then get in touch, produce a drawing for you to confirm, and make any tweaks before fabrication so you know exactly what you are getting and that it fits. Delivery and lead times

Lead times vary with the workshop schedule, so please ask when you enquire, and we will arrange delivery on a weekday that suits you.

International delivery

We ship worldwide. On made-to-measure runs we quote overseas carriage per order once we have the sizes and delivery address, crated to travel safely.

Looking after it

Stainless steel and glass need only occasional upkeep to stay looking their best, more often near the coast. A wipe-over with any general stainless steel or glass cleaning product is all it takes.
