Bespoke & Oversized Wine Cellar Glass Floors

Our standard hinged glass floors cover most openings, but a lot of what we make is one-off. If your opening is an unusual shape or size, or you want features the standard products don't offer, this is where to start. We design, make and finish it all in our Sheffield workshop, so we can build to suit almost any brief.

Start with our standard doors

If one of these fits, it is the quickest and best-value route:

What we make to order

If the standard range doesn't fit the bill, we make bespoke:

• Any shape or size: square, rectangular, circular, semi-circular or L-shaped to suit your opening
• Oversized glass floors, as a single large hinged panel or several hinged panels for easier access
• Manual gas-strut or electric motorised operation
• Integrated steel access ladders, spiral staircases or bespoke wine racking below
• A tiled or timber floor infill instead of glass, so the closed hatch blends into a tiled or boarded floor
• External-grade upgrades for outdoor openings
• Custom powder-coat colours on the steelwork to match your floor or scheme

Same build and standards

Whatever the shape or size, the build is the same as our standard hatches: 25.5mm toughened and laminated structural glass, sealed into a powder-coated steel frame. Steel frameworks are UKCA marked to BS EN 1090-2, and the glass is engineered for the domestic (Category A) floor loadings in the UK National Annex to BS EN 1991-1-1:2002 (a 1.5kN/sqm distributed load and a 2.0kN point load), with larger and oversized panels engineered to suit. Our optional non-slip treatment reaches a Pendulum Test Value (PTV) of 68, well above the 36 needed to rate as low slip risk in the dry. There is more in our glass floor building regulations guide.

International delivery

We ship worldwide. Made-to-measure units are supplied fully assembled, and international delivery is quoted per order: send us your sizes and delivery address for a crating and freight price. Our 5-metre glass floor hatch shipped to Norway shows how well large units travel.

Because these are made to your brief, they are quoted individually. Send us a sketch, rough sizes or a photo of the opening and we will come back with a price and, once you order, a detailed drawing to approve before we make anything.
