Our customer Claire requested the supply and installation of a large ‘wrap around’ walk-out balcony structure; designed to fit the step-out detail in the rear elevation of the building. The balcony was installed with raised privacy glass screens to the neighbouring sides and frameless clear glass to the front.
The balcony adds tonnes of additional first floor space to enjoy the far-reaching views over Loxley valley- a typical walkout balcony might add room for a small table and chairs but this system allows for a pool table, if you so wish!
Dio-Met completed a full service of survey, design, manufacture and installation of this large walk-out terrace balcony with a footprint of 6metres x 3metres. The balcony system briefly comprises :
- Heavy duty steel framework and support posts
- Steel joists with oak effect composite decking planks
- Framed stainless steel side screens with frosted privacy glass to sides
- Infinity base channel frameless glass balustrade to front
- All base metalwork galvanized and powdercoated black
All Dio-Met structural steelwork (balconies, staircases, balustrades etc) are all fully building regulation compliant and supplied with UKCA certification for building control sign-off. Each balcony is produced in our own Sheffield-based workshops using locally sourced raw materials and either supplied for self-assembly or installed by our very own team- we never use subcontract fitters.
