Overview :
The new Sharrow School was born from the amalgamation of Sharrow Infant and Nursery School and Sharrow Junior School. The project was designed as an Eco-School and has won many awards for it's design and reduced environmental carbon footprint.

External Glass Balustrades
Extensive areas of balustrade which incorporated toughened glass panels, curved galvanised steel baluster posts and stainless steel wire ropes giving a unique overall aesthetic appearance. Glass balustrades of this construction were manufactured and fitted to the roof terraces and stand out visually in all the external photographs :
Sharrow School's green roof system is the first Nature Reserve in the country to be located on top of a building. As per Sheffield's other Local Nature Reserves, Sharrow's green roof was designed for its great ecological value by helping to reduce impacts of climate change by keeping the building cool in summer, soaking up heavy rainfall and absorbing cardon dioxide from the atmosphere. It also looks a treat with our balustrade systems in the background !
Internal Stainless Steel Balustrade + Handrails
Inside Sharrow school DioMet manufactured and installed numerous stainless steel banisters and stainless steel and glass balustrades, again with exceptional visual impact. 304G internal grade brushed stainless finish with 10mm toughened glass made an excellent modern looking reception area and functional twin handrail staircase :
External Staircase
DioMet installed the external staircase complete with glass balustrade for access to the green roof terrance and first floor balcony areas constructed from a mixture of stainless steel handrails and galvanised steel staircase :

DioMet also worked on the impressive looking Brise Soleil canopy, disabled access ramp handrails and various other misc steelwork :
