The vast majority of our clients opt for a tubular design framed glass balustrade due to how cost effective the modular components are, and the range of stainless steel fittings and fixings available to suit the most popular tube sizes (42.4 and 48.3mm). The same principle is applied to a squareline system, although currently only available to suit 40mm box sections and with a much more limited range of fittings.
A square system can however have some advantages, not least that they are less common, but also given the design aesthetic appears much more contemporary and modern with cleaner, sharper lines throughout.
As stainless steel fabricators, even with a limited range of standard fittings for the squareline system, Dio-Met are able to overcome almost any design requirement with bespoke manufactured components or connections. Consideration should be given where a balustrade system has a number of non-ninety-degree corners for which a glass clamp on a round post could otherwise be more suited given its full rotational ability.
