Simple Installation Steps- Setting up your modern washing pole is quick and user-friendly:

1. Excavate a hole to the suggested depth (around 500mm for firmness).
2. Place the post or socket, ensure it's level, and fix with concrete.
3. Opt for Postcrete to achieve rapid hardening in 5-10 minutes.
4. Attach your line to the tie-bars.
5. Allow 24 hours for the concrete to cure before use.

Worth adding to the order

A galvanised ground socket lets you lift the pole out for mowing or over winter, rather than concreting it in permanently. Beyond that: steel core washing line or a retractable line, a line prop to take the sag out of a long run, and heavy duty metal pegs that will not snap in the cold. There is a matching wall bracket if you are running the line to the house.

Made in Sheffield, not imported

Most washing poles sold in garden centres and on the big marketplaces are imported and painted rather than galvanised, and typically come in under 1mm wall thickness. Ours is 2mm, in 40mm square steel, galvanised before it is powder coated, with solid stainless tie-bars and cap. Made here in Sheffield by a family firm of over 35 years.
