Gardening During Lockdown

As our Government enforced lockdown continues, many people are spending more time in their gardens and looking to improve their outdoor space; enhancing the experience of not leaving the confines of their own properties- your blog writer included!

Working from home of course has it’s pro’s and con’s but for many people, spending more quality time with family is a welcome benefit, especially when the sun is shining! It’s at this time of course that the keen DIYer’s and gardeners get to work improving living spaces and ticking off jobs around the house that have been in abeyance for weeks (months / years!)

Here at DioMet, we took 3 weeks off work in line with Government advice and have staged a return to work with new safety and distancing measures in place. This has however come at our busiest time of year and as our home and garden products are flying off the shelves in higher volumes than usual.

So, how can we help with snazzing up your outdoor space? Well, by far the most popular products at present are our heavy duty washing line posts and as always, our glass balustrade systems. We are currently out of stock of our straight decking panels after some large orders but still have a quantity of wavy panels available.

Those products that are made to order such as glass balcony systems and garden railings are still being produced in our workshop, albeit with a smaller workforce than usual so please check our current lead times when ordering, which are typically 1-2 weeks longer than usual.

For those with grander plans, orders are still flowing through for large walk out balcony systems and external steel staircases so please get in touch with your requirements. Site surveys and installations are again commencing, with strict health and safety measures in place.
