AG Barr Project Milton Keynes


DioMet Sheffield are pleased to confirm that we are contracted to work on AG Barr's Irn Bru project. 

The soft drink company are on course to open a new £40 million canning plant in Milton Keynes next summer (2013)

AG Barr, the company which produce Irn-Bru and Tizer is building a production plant at Magna Park which is to employ around 100 people.

Barr suggest that the new plant will have the capacity to produce around 400 million cans and 200 million bottles per year.

The new production plant is certainly a development plan for the future of AG Barr of a significant commitment to the Milton Keynes area.

Barr said it already employed 900 people at 11 sites in the UK, but the new plant in Milton Keynes would double its canning production capacity.

Dio-Mets current contacted works include the manufacture and installation of :

  • 150 metres of twin rail stainless steel balustrading / handrails

  • 14 no. Galvanised Dock- support Levellers

  • 3 no. Galvanised dock staircases

  • 24 metres of mesh screening

  • 7 no. Galvanised cat ladders and ships access ladders

  • 16no. Bollards

  • Stainless steel stair balustrade

  • Mild steel powdercoated stair balustrade

  • Free standing stainless steel staircase
