Tinted Toughened Glass
Bronze and grey tinted toughened glass is a type of glass that has been chemically treated and strengthened to increase its strength and durability with a colour tinted. It is called "bronze tinted" or “grey tinted” because it has a bronze or grey colored tint that provides an aesthetic appearance and reduces glare- sometimes known as anti-sun glass.
Toughened glass is created by heating the glass to a high temperature and then cooling it rapidly. This process creates internal stresses within the glass that give it increased strength and resistance to breakage. Toughened glass is also known as tempered glass and is often used in applications where safety is a concern, such as in balustrades, canopies, staircases, shower doors, and glass partitions.
Bronze and grey tinted toughened glass is often used in architectural applications, such as building facades, windows, and canopies. The bronze or grey tint provides a unique and aesthetically pleasing appearance while also reducing glare and heat gain from the sun. Another benefit of tinted glass is its mid-level of privacy, giving a level of privacy between the usual choices of clear and frosted glass.
