Industrial Chic Meets Brand Identity

For this installation at The Glassworks, the challenge was to create a steel staircase that felt like a natural extension of the dental studio’s "industrial chic" interior. The result is a high-impact, minimalist design that serves as a focal point for the client's entrance.

• Laser-Cut Customization: We incorporated the client's custom logo directly into the center of each metal balustrade panel, ensuring a consistent brand experience as visitors move between floors.

• Bespoke Colour Matching: To ensure visual continuity with other materials on-site, the entire staircase was powdercoated in a sophisticated gold finish, meticulously matched to the client's requirements.

• CAD-Verified Precision: Before any steel was cut in our Sheffield workshop, we provided full AutoCAD drawings. This allowed the client to iron out design changes and provided the peace of mind that the staircase would fit the Barnsley site perfectly.

• Professional Installation: Our own team handled the installation at The Glassworks, ensuring the staircase was structurally sound and ready for the studio's grand opening.

Designing a spiral staircase for a commercial setting like a dental studio involves more than just aesthetics; it requires managing vibration and center-pole rigidity. Because the treads radiate from a single point, any flex in the central column is magnified. Our decades of experience in structural steelwork led us to utilize a heavy-walled central pillar and precision-welded tread plates that eliminate "bounce." Even with the decorative laser-cut logo panels, the balustrade provides the necessary lateral support to meet commercial building regulations and UKCA certification standards, ensuring safety for the studio's high footfall.
