Door Protection Hoops

Take the strain out of your door with a Diomet door hoop.

Communal doors on residential properties are subject to a higher volume of foot traffic than the average single dwelling.

These are subject to increased wear and tear and often are exposed to the risk of being repeatedly over opened or caught by freak gusts of wind causing damage and requiring frequent repairs or maintenance.

Add a location like Sheffield's surrounding National Peak District and blustery is a word best used for understatement only!

This called for Diomet's veteran fabrication metalworker Mr J Ryalls -Working on behalf of Aluminium Architectural Metalwork Co. DM2003 “Door maintenance” He installed an external grade stainless steel door hoop complete with a yellow powder coated finish with the icing on the cake being a shiny white door stop. (no glass infill panel  or glass clamps on this one)

The installation was to the communal entrance noted above to stop the door being over opened spraining the door closer, hinges and damaging the frame and fixings. Core drilled through the groundworkers block paving and sub base then epoxy grouted in this assembly will protect the door from the elements and abuse. This looked on completion very nice indeed. The only thing missing was a real glass door canopy / porch and a nice section of balustrade / railings to direct foot traffic.

Can you squeeze one in on your self build?? Try to spot this in the picture on our website.
