Glass Walkway Canopy Sheffield

Our private client Rosemary came to us after speaking to her neighbour a few streets away who had a lovely glass alleyway canopy that provided shelter all the way down the side of her house. This was exactly what Rosemary was looking for, and it’s one of many glass canopies that we completed a few years ago.

Rosemary gave us a call to arrange a survey, quotation and ultimately the design and installation of a similar glass canopy over her whole side-passage alley at the side of her house, approximately 9 metres long. The glazed canopy was constructed in exactly the same materials and adjusted to accommodate the various site conditions to allow a perfect fit and comprised:

1) Stainless steel tie-rod style support brackets

2) Clear toughened safety glass panels

3) Stainless steel front and rear support clamps

4) Pressed stainless steel jointing strips between panels.

The design for this glass canopy follows a bespoke variation of our T2 suspended glass canopy system of which we regularly manufacture made-to-measure versions to suit individual customer circumstances.

This glass canopy installation was completed on a miserable day in December and soon afterwards, the heavens opened and it got to work protecting the whole alley below from a drenching.
