Over the last year we have designed and installed dozens of different pergola designs and the most popular seems to be a box-section steel design in anthracite grey with contrasting stainless steel wire ropes. This example for our client Gill in Huddersfield follows the same theme.
Gill requested a simple bolt-together steel framework with a series of wire ropes to one side and across the top in order to grow some climbing plants and cover the frame in natural foliage.
As with all our metal pergola systems, this unit was customized to suit the sizes and layout that Gill required to suit her rear garden patio area and of course is made to last with robust materials and finishes, all made in the UK by our own fabricators unlike some of the flimsy mass-produced imports that adorn your local garden centre (or your neighbours garden with a light gust of wind!)
All the metalwork used is hot-dip galvanized and polyester powdercoated and the wire ropes are external marine grade 316 stainless steel.
Gill kindly followed up with some words of thanks, and completed pictures of the steel pergola. We look forward to seeing it again once all the plants have developed.
