Any domestic property with a fall in height of 600mm+ should have adequate safety balustrades to prevent accident or injury and likewise any set of steps should have adequate handrails to aid access and egress to any such areas. DioMet have recently completed the supply and installation of metal railings to such a property as below example:

These metal garden railings were surveyed, designed, manufactured and installed into solid masonry walls by core-drill and grout fixing the baluster posts. The steelwork is all hot-dip galvanized and powdercoated in black for a smooth, attractive paint finish.

The property now has a safety balustrade guarding the otherwise dangerous fall in height from the entrance platform and a balustrade / handrail combination running down the steps into the front garden area, all fully building regulation compliant and in accordance with the requested design criteria from Sheffield City Council.

All our railings, handrails and associated metalwork is fully UKCA certified designed to current building regulations per BS6180 and BS EN1090.

Dio-Met design and manufacture all steelwork in our Sheffield workshops and can either offer installation (subject to location) or dispatch nationwide by courier for installation by any competent builder or tradesperson.
