Point Fixing Frameless Staircase Balustrade

Dio-Met have recently completed the supply and delivery of a new frameless design glass staircase balustrade system. The design chosen was a simple but modern glass system using 17.5mm toughened and laminated clear glass panels complete with side mounted point fixing clamps, or pig nose glass fixings as they are also termed. The clean lines of the glass balustrade when matched with the modern finish stainless steel clamping hardware complete the new staircase in style effortlessly.

A frameless glazed balustrade of this type does not require any handrails where toughened and laminated glass is used on the landings under BS6180 however handrails are required to the staircase but deemed acceptable when used on the exterior walls and again not required on the balustrade. All building regulations have been covered and the end client is left with a shiny new balustrade system that is a fantastic feature for the property.

The structural glass staircase system was supplied and delivered to our customer (the joiner on the project) for self-assembly installation within the requested 3 week lead time - Completed installation images below :
