What side fixing means

These fix to the face or side of a structure rather than sitting on top of it — to a fascia, a joist end, the side of a balcony deck or a wall — so the glass hangs off the edge instead of standing on the surface. That keeps the full width of a deck or landing usable, which is often the reason people choose it.

Adjustable, so the run comes out level

The brackets adjust after fixing, which lets you take up the tolerance in a structure that is not perfectly true and bring every panel to the same line. On a long run that is the difference between a balustrade that looks made and one that looks fitted.

Material

316 stainless steel, the marine grade — suitable inside or out, and what we would specify near the coast. All our fittings are 316 unless the listing says otherwise; where a fitting is plated steel rather than stainless we say so plainly, because the two look identical and only one belongs outdoors.

Glass to suit

Suits 8mm to 12mm glass — our 10mm clear toughened is the usual choice, with 8mm and 12mm also cut to size.
