Steelwork Across UK
UK Wide Coverage
Ever since being founded in 1991, DioMet has been proud to be appropriately based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire – the UK’s ‘Steel City’. As a result, the company focuses strongly on upholding and strengthening the city’s three-centuries-old reputation for producing professionally finished, extremely durable and high-quality steelwork for any domestic or commercial application. DioMet has taken great care to ensure it continues to identify in these roots by retaining its small, local business ethos in spite of its continued success and growth. Prioritising the customer has always been the number one priority for DioMet, meaning that any change in the business has pivoted around ensuring the best customer experience.
The rapid explosion of the internet into our lives in the past quarter-century has completely revolutionised the way businesses offer their products and services to customers. In the past, the only option available for the customer was to visit the nearest store – perhaps the only one in an entire region – or a business’ sole premises, and hope that the product they needed was in stock – which could have easily led to disappointment after much effort. Today, thanks to the internet, the whole process of purchasing is much more open and streamlined, meaning businesses are able to promote and deliver their products across the country, as well as internationally. We are now able to do our shopping from the comfort of our own home at the touch of a button, and we can fully exploit situations where the products we most want are only sold by a business hundreds of miles away. Prices for many consumer products are now also far cheaper thanks to their increased availability. Customer disappointment has become an ever rarer phenomenon.
DioMet have not left themselves behind in the e-commerce revolution, despite their maintenance of the company’s original values. Instead of opening new premises across the UK to reflect their success and growth, which carries the risks of inefficiency and a dilution of the customer experience, the company has instead turned to the internet to open up and offer its range of highly-acclaimed metalwork products and services to customers across the country. One would be forgiven for thinking that a business would look to exploit its success and reputation by ramping up its pricing, but this has never been true of DioMet. Thanks to the rise of e-commerce, allied to the purchasing power for raw materials that the company’s reputation affords, DioMet is able to offer its range of exceptional quality products and services at very attractive and affordable rates to customers across the UK – whether you live in the Sheffield area, Scotland or Sussex.
In keeping with the importance of providing a bespoke, customer-focused service, the DioMet team are open to enquiries and orders from any corner of the country. Every order will be assessed individually regarding the feasibility of providing a full installation. The geographical scope for such undertakings is far wider than you might expect. The installation team are very willing to travel to all parts of the UK to provide a skilled and professional service to domestic customers, commercial clients and public institutions – all of whom have expressed glowing feedback upon completion. For example, DioMet have provided a full installation of a commercial glazed balustrade at a primary school in Ashford, Kent, and have also completed installation of astainless steel and glass balustrade/handrail project in Hyde Park, London.
The company retains a practical head and therefore recognises that it may not be feasible to provide a full installation service in some parts of the country for some of its smaller products, but counters this limitation by also offering its products in the form of DIY-friendly installation kits which can be couriered to any location in the UK. Every effort is still made to ensure that customers can enjoy DioMet quality, professionalism and value wherever they live. DioMet’s delivery service can still provide a cost-effective alternative to hiring the services of a more local company to provide full installation, and unlike such firms, we are still able to offer a bespoke product that can be manufactured in-house before being dispatched.
