If you have stairs in your house, you probably have some space underneath them that may be currently used as a storage cupboard or junk room, or nothing at all – so how about transforming it into something special with the addition of glass doors?
Our recent customer Kevin came to us with the requirement for glass panelling for his staircase and whilst on site discussions developed into how we could assist in creating an alcohol storage and display unit beneath his stairs to replace a traditional understairs cupboard. The display unit consists clear toughened glass panels with stainless steel hinges and blanking panels.
Partitioning off the wasted space beneath a staircase with glass panels would create a useful storage area for anybody, but fill that area with gin and champagne and you’ll have something truly spectacular!
With some neat joinery, the area behind the hinged glass doors was completed and racked out ready for the selection of gin, wine and champagne to complete the wow-factor display. Kevin was absolutely delighted with the finished result and provided his comments below :
