Key clamp handrailing: standard tube and bolt-together fittings, no welding and no cutting on site beyond length. The industrial option — cheap and cheerful, and by some distance the most forgiving to fit.
Why people choose it
If a rail has to go up quickly, around an awkward corner, or by someone who is not a fabricator, this is the one. The fittings take up the angles, so you are not relying on a perfect measurement, and if you get something wrong you can undo it and move it. That tolerance is the whole point.
It looks industrial, and on a factory walkway, a plant room or a yard step that is exactly right. For a house or a customer-facing entrance, our galvanised and powder coated rail or stainless on posts will look considerably better.
What you need
Tube plus the fittings for each junction. Our tube clamp fittings cover corners, tees, wall connections, post bases and angled joints, and the 42mm galvanised tube is sold by the length. Tell us the run and we will work out what you need.
Heights and regulations
Our handrail building regulations guide covers heights and continuity. On commercial and industrial work the requirements differ from domestic — we build to whatever your project calls for, but what it has to comply with is your building control officer’s call.
