Our client Dave instructed our services for the survey, design, manufacture and installation of a new framed glass balustrade system to the perimeter of his newly laid Indian stone paved patio area. The system used was our versatile Stainless Steel Glass Balustrade System 1 with matching gate; all installed with smoked grey tinted glass infill panels.

Using tinted glass in a balustrade is a popular upgrade from the standard clear glazing option as it offers a medium level of privacy at close range and higher privacy when viewed at a distance. Not only does grey tinted glass offer increased privacy, it’s also much lower maintenance as any dust or dirt is not so easily visible and required less frequent cleaning than clear glazing.

This balustrade system was installed by core-drilling and grout fixing the baluster posts into the patio and finished off with tidy base cover roses. The steelwork used is our brushed finish tubular stainless steel in external grade G316 materials; using proprietary glass clamps to secure the grey tinted 10mm toughened glass infills.
