Polished or brushed?

The only difference is the look. Mirror polished is bright and reflective — it catches the light and suits a run where you want the fittings noticed. Brushed, our standard finish, is a soft satin grey that sits quietly and hides fingermarks better.

Both are the same 316 stainless underneath and both are fine outdoors. Polished shows marks and water spotting more readily, which is worth knowing on an exposed balcony.

Material

316 stainless steel, the marine grade — suitable inside or out, and what we would specify near the coast. All our fittings are 316 unless the listing says otherwise; where a fitting is plated steel rather than stainless we say so plainly, because the two look identical and only one belongs outdoors.

Fixing

Screws directly to steel, timber or masonry through a slot at the back of the clamp, so the fixing stays concealed.

Glass to suit

Takes our 10mm clear toughened glass, also available frosted for privacy or grey tinted.
