Our latest installation has just been finished for a domestic client in Suffolk comprising two large walk-out steel balcony structures with glazed perimeter balustrades and composite decked flooring. These balconies were also both underdrawn with bespoke steel trays to collect rainwater and feed into a guttering system.

All the base steelwork was galvanzied and then powdercoated to a light grey colour to blend in with the timber cladding and a modern design glass balustrade was installed featuring stainless steel upright posts and handrails with clear glass infills to provide a contemporary contrast. 

A typical decked balcony floor will have gaps between each deck board and any rainwater would drip through to the area below- for these two balconies our client requested that the underside of the balcony be underdrawn in order to collect rainwater and divert into a gutter system. Bespoke brackets were also fabricated to match the gutter system being installed.

DioMet completed a full service of site survey, design, manufacture and installation of the walk out balcony structures, glass balustrades, composite decking and underdrawing steel sheets. The gutter system was being installed by the main contractor at a later date. Rear posts were added to support the balcony as the cladding could not be fixed to directly.

Our walk-on steel balcony structures and glass balustrade systems are all manufactured in our Sheffield workshops and either installed within typically a 3 hour driving radius of Sheffield or dispatched all over the UK for installation by others- generally any local builder or competent tradesperson could install one of our balcony systems.
