Glass Spigot Balcony- Ipswich

We have now completed the supply and installation of a first floor walkout balcony system in Otley, Ipswich, featuring frameless spigot glass balustrading to the perimeter and composite decked platform.

Our client Nigel originally ordered our Frameless Infinity Walkout Balcony and then enquired about altering the perimeter balustrade from a channel track to a spigot system, which he ultimately ugraded to, pictures below :

The spigot system used is a proprietary design that is fully tested to meet building regulation requirements of 0.74kN loading at 1100mm high when used with 17.5mm toughened and laminated glass, just like the base channel alternative.

Dio-Met provided a full service of survey, design, manufacture and installation of the full walkout balcony and frameless spigot balustrade system and composite decked base. The perimeter ring beam, decking supports and upright posts were all galvanized and powdercoated in Anthracite Grey.

This spigot system is not to be confused with our low-level patio spigot system, which uses a more slimline bracket and is not load tested thus unsuitable for balcony applications, seen here : DioMet Spigot Balustrade.
