A Sturdy Solution for a Domestic Property
Paul's brief was simple yet essential: a sturdy metal access staircase that met building regulations, with non-slip checkerplate treads and straightforward metal balustrading. Our team worked closely with Paul to create a custom-sized external staircase that exceeded his expectations.
The metalwork was all hot-dip galvanized as is our standard for any external application and in addition, the stringers and balustrade were all powdercoated to RAL 5008. Paul chose not to powdercoat the checkerplate treads themselves since the staircase was expected to receive high footfall, and would begin to wear over time.
Supply-Only Solution for Self-Installation
We provided the staircase as a kit-form design, made to bolt together and easy for any competent person to install. This approach allowed Paul to take control of the installation process, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience and all with a saving of paying another professional to undertake the works.
