Have you discovered a well in your garden? Surprisingly, a lot of people do find old well systems when relandscaping their existing garden and patio areas but what now? Why not make a feature out of it rather than just filling it in?

Glass well covers have become one of our most popular products in recent months as our client’s look to create a safe and attractive feature out of them; often adding lights to really enhance the area at night.

Here at Dio-Met, we cut glass to order, so dealing with bespoke sizes is no problem- just get in touch and we’ll work with you to create a toughened and laminated glass well cover that is safe to walk on and a perfect fit for your garden. We also manufacture a wide range of steel frames to help install them – we are a specialist steelwork fabrication company after all!

Your glass well cover can be made with frosted or back-painted borders to hide any steelwork or supporting bricks that may be unsightly and provide just a perfect clear view into the centre of your ancient well.

Our most popular walk-on glass sizes are 25.5mm, 31.5mm and 33mm thick. The thickness of glass will be dependent on your overall span. All glass is toughened and laminated to provide the required level of safety to meet current building regulations.
