31.5mm Walk-On Floor Glass Panel (Made to Measure)

Mid-range walk-on floor glass, cut to your size. At 31.5mm it steps up from our 25.5mm panel for medium-to-large spans and busier floors, supplied as glass only, ready to seat into your own opening or frame. Build and finish

31.5mm toughened and laminated glass: two 15mm toughened panels bonded together
Polished edges as standard, with a 5mm radius to each corner
Supplied as glass only; a steel support frame can be made to order if you need one

The extra thickness over 25.5mm lets it span wider openings and take heavier use. As always, the right thickness depends on the span, position, use and how the glass is supported, so check with a structural glass engineer for anything out of the ordinary.

Non-slip options

Glass can be slippery underfoot, so for a floor in regular use we would fit a non-slip finish:

Checkerplate top layer: the upper pane carries a raised, sandblasted checkerplate finish, the grippiest option and worth it for anything walked on daily
Invisible non-slip coating: a clear, long-lasting treatment (around five years) that hits a Pendulum Test Value (PTV) of 68, comfortably past the 36 that counts as low slip risk in the dry; wet glass still needs care

Border and condensation options

Back-painted border: a painted band around the edge that hides where the glass seats, and any fixings or silicone, from above
Ritec anti-condensation coating: an underside treatment that helps condensation run off rather than sit; it lessens condensation without curing it, so sort the source too

Other floor-glass thicknesses

For smaller openings, the same walk-on floor glass comes in 21.5mm and 25.5mm; for the largest spans and heaviest use, 33mm and 39mm. Made to order

Every 31.5mm panel is made to your size, usually inside about four weeks, and we arrange delivery once it is ready. For a cheaper off-the-shelf option, see our stock glass panels.

International delivery

We ship internationally. As panels are cut to order, we quote overseas carriage per job once we have the size and destination, crated to travel safely.
