Replacing a juliet balcony

Dio-Met have recently worked alongside our private client Michael to replace his old timber balcony structure with a more modern alternative. Michael’s vision was to enhance the view from his windows and update the walk-out style juliet balcony system to a more contemporary design; one that was still in keeping with the exterior of his property.

DioMet engaged with a full service of site survey, balcony design, manufacture and installation.

The balcony design features a galvanized and powdercoated steel framework with gallows style support brackets, tie-rod bracings and a timber decked floor. A matching glass balustrade design was crafted to provide the structural guarding, complete with tubular handrail bringing the whole system upto the regulation height of 1100mm.

Due to the nature of the building, the existing timber structure had been cut into the rough stone walls and therefore the replacement balcony stanchions were designed to cover these existing holes and cut outs to provide a clean, effortless finish with no remedial works required.

Michael was delighted with the result and we sincerely hope he enjoys the use of his new outdoor seating area!
