Several years ago, Graham approached us with a fascinating project: he wanted to integrate our manual glass floor systems into his home in a way that would bring the beauty of his outdoor fish pond into his living space. Graham purchased four of our systems, which he used in various applications, including a remarkable installation that allowed his fish to swim through a tunnel under his house and into a void in his living room floor. Our manual hatch system provided a safe way to view and walk over the fish while also allowing Graham to open it and feed his aquatic friends.

Fast forward to the present, and Graham's vision has taken another leap forward. With technology advancing and our product range expanding, Graham decided it was time for an upgrade. He reached out to us once again, this time for our latest innovation: the electric glass floor system.

Graham's new electric unit is a marvel of customization. Unlike the manual hatch he previously had, this new system features two actuators located at one end of the door, ingeniously designed into a custom steel box that submerges into the water while remaining perfectly dry inside. This bespoke design required careful consideration of waterproofing modifications to ensure flawless operation in such a unique environment.

The result is nothing short of spectacular. With just the push of a button, the glass door now opens effortlessly, revealing the serene world of his fish pond beneath the living room floor. It's a seamless blend of functionality and aesthetic pleasure, providing an uninterrupted view of the aquatic life below while maintaining the practicality of a floor that can be walked over when closed.
