Our innovative design seamlessly integrates a structural walk-on toughened and laminated glass panel within a robust steel framework, operated by a smooth electric motorized actuator mechanism within a circular design.

Our round hinged glass floor systems are all made to order, ensuring an impeccable fit for your exact floor opening or existing spiral staircase. Simply provide us with the precise dimensions of your opening, and we'll create a self-supporting framework with built-in tolerance for a seamless integration. The framework features secure attachment points around the perimeter for added stability and simple installation. 

Glass Door Sizes :

Our circular electric glass door system can be manufactured from 800mm to 1500mm in diameter to provide access to your spiral staircase, wine cellar, basement or well opening. 

Units upto 1000mm will open fully and larger sizes designed to be partial opening, please refer to our PDF illustration or contact us for more information / sizes.

• Lead Time Options: Choose from our standard manufacturing time of 10-12 weeks or opt for our Express Production service for delivery within 8 weeks.

Spiral Stair Glass Hatch FAQs:

• Common Applications: Our circular hinged walk-on glass trapdoor systems are commonly used as basement doors, wine cellars, and storage display units.

• Intended Use: These systems are not designed for primary access to habitable rooms. Users should carefully consider the intended application and implement appropriate risk management measures.

• Watertightness: The frames are not watertight and should be used only internally in dry areas.

• Installation: A competent builder or tradesperson can easily install the fully assembled units.

• Certifications: Our steel frameworks are fully UKCA certified (a legal requirement) to BS 1090-2, and the glass is designed to a concentrated load of 2.0kN, in accordance with BS EN 1991-1-1 2002. These hinged floors are rated and structurally approved for domestic use. Consult a structural glass engineer if you have any doubts about the required glass thickness. Customers are responsible for ensuring all purchased goods meet their own building control requirements.

• Non-Slip Treatment: Our non-slip treated glass exceeds industry standards, achieving a Pendulum Test Value (PTV) of 68, far exceeding the minimum requirement of 36+ for low slip risk in dry conditions.

Express Production

If you choose our express production service, we will prioritize your order and work overtime as needed. In the event we cannot meet the promised timeframe, the premium cost will be refunded.
