Our fully frameless glass balustrade system with base channel mounting remains exceptionally popular and we have recently installed the system to a private client’s property in Rotherham.
Our customer Gavin opted for our full service of site survey, design, manufacture and installation of a frameless ‘infinity’ glass balustrade system. The channel system is available in two variations:
- 15mm toughened glass with handrail
- 17.5mm laminated glass with no handrail
Both of the above options are suitable for domestic use, when guarding a fall over 600mm on an external application and the latter was used in this installation. Thicker glass is required for commercial use, and thinner glass can be used for internal applications in some instances.
The channel was chemical resin anchored into the solid concrete backfilled wall and the whole system now provides a perfect view out of the balcony, unobstructed by any posts or handrails that are commonly used in framed systems.
