Galvanized Steel Staircase

This simple galvanized steel staircase was supplied in kit form for a client for assembly by their builder to replace an old timber staircase and comes complete with face-faced stainless steel and toughened glass balustrade.  

The vast majority of our external steel staircases follow a similar principle of design with either checkerplate or mesh steel treads and flat bar side stringers for a cost-effective DIY friendly kit form staircase assembly.

All external base steelwork is hot dip galvanized for longevity and occasionally powdercoated in addition in accordance with individual customer preferences. This particular staircase example uses a combination of finishes to include stainless steel and toughened glass balustrading in place of traditional railings.

The staircase and balustrade were shipped by courier to the south coast of England for assembly by our client’s on-site builder. Our DIY staircase kits are all made to order, but delivered kit-form and installation should be simple for any competent builder or tradesperson. Our client followed up with the below comments :

Hi Adam, hi Sarah,

We put the stairs up today and they look excellent, we’re very pleased with the result. 

We laid a concrete slab for the posts last weekend and a steel erector put them up today.

You recently did a hand rail and railings in black powder coat for a property on the Isle of Skye, for a ramp up to a door. That was for my in-laws, we’ve seen pictures of the finished result as they put that up last week. So we’ve spread the word!
