Dio-Met supply and install glass balustrade systems all over the UK and our latest example was completed this week for our customer in Cambridge. These glass balustrades were used to surround a large patio area leading out from the dining room and matching handrails were used to three sets of garden steps.

The balustrade railings used was our very popular Powdercoated Glass Balustrade System 5 which comprises:

Sqaureline upright baluster posts

10mm clear toughened glass infill panels

Proprietary glass clamping system

Steel ribbon rail with profiled iroko hardwood handrail

All steelwork is hot-dip galvanized and Powdercoated in black (other colours available)

This glass balustrade is modern in design and softened with the contrasting timber handrail- all of which match in with the clean lines of the large floor to ceiling windows leading onto the patio area from the dining room.

The baluster posts were professionally core-drill and grout fixed into the retaining brick wall by our own installation team- a method that gives the ultimate strength of fixing and is always our preferred solution in this scenario- beware of anybody who wants to screw-fix a balustrade to the top course of your bricks!

Dio-Met completed a full service of survey, design, manufacture and installation of this glass balustrade and handrail system in Cambridge. We only ever use our own fabricators to manufacture our CE-marked metalwork and likewise only use our own installers- never subcontractors.
