Powdercoated Glass Balustrade

This blog showcases our most recent glass balustrade installation for our client Ben in Sheffield. This balustrade system uses clear toughened safety glass panels surrounded by light grey powdercoated steel framing with stainless steel glazing clamps; all supplied and installed to a new patio area.

Our customer Ben requested a quotation for our newest design of glass balustrade which comprises square-line baluster posts, glass infill panels and rectangular handrail profile. The posts and handrail were all galvanized and powdercoated in a light grey colour (which we love!) and the glass clamps and base cover plates were supplied in brushed finish stainless steel to provide a modern contrast.

For this project, DioMet offered a full service of site survey, design, manufacture and installation and the overall finish looks superb – needless to say Ben was delighted with his new glass balustrade system and kindly provided these lovely photos following our installation.

The balustrade was all core-drill and grout fixed into the patio along the horizontal sections and side-mounted to the staircase to maximise space on the steps. The whole project was completed within a 5-week lead time from start to finish.

All our balustrades are manufactured in our Sheffield workshops and supplied for either DIY installation, or professionally installed by our own team (we never use subcontract installers) within a reasonable radius of Yorkshire. All steelwork and glazing materials are sourced from our local suppliers. All our glass balustrades are CE marked and fully building regulation compliant.
