Installing a Dio-Met powdercoated steel handrail will offer a long-lasting functional access aid to your steps, ramps or staircase. The metalwork used is generally a tubular design with 48mm upright posts and a 42mm handrail which can all be powdercoated to almost any RAL colour you wish.

Each metal handrail system we produce is made-to-order to suit each customers’ individual requirement. Fixing details can vary but the posts would generally be either left long to be concreted into the ground or supplied with a welded base plate to bolt down.

All handrails for external use are galvanized as standard and then powdercoated on top for a long-lasting finish. The steel used is heavy duty and will provide a substantial access rail.

Our order process is straightforward and would generally follow the below sequence :

1. Enquire for a handrail quotation with some basic dimensions / pictures
2. Site survey if required within our workable radius (not usually necessary however)
3. DioMet design the handrail system for customer checking and approval.
4. Manufacture and powdercoating to colour chosen
5. Delivery or DioMet installation

All our metal handrails are manufactured in our own Sheffield workshops with all raw materials sourced locally. We dispatch our handrails all over the UK through a reliable courier network. Each handrail is pre-drilled to suit the post-top connectors and can therefore be ‘flat-packed’ for ease of handling, transportation and installation.
