Totally revamping an old staircase can be a daunting project for the average DIYer, especially if wanting to introduce shaped panels of glass and luxurious looking stainless steel fittings. You’d probably be right to think that, if you were to look no further than the standard products available from some hardware shops- but luckily we can assist with your project and help get it right.

A typical timber staircase will comprise chunky upright newel posts that are integral to the structure, a round profile timber handrail and square infill spindles. In order to replace this timber construction with glass panels and stainless steel can be quite easy; simply remove the spindles and swap out for glass panels and clamps right. This design works perfectly to match our stainless steel glass clamps and when twinned with a white painted staircase, really looks the part.
