These fire escape staircases are hot-dip-galvanzied for a weather resistant, maintainence free finish. The stair treads are durbar checkerplate to provide an anti-slip texture and are closed-risers for ultimate safety and conforimtiy to UK building regualtions. The larger staircase has an additional safety feature to prevent access to beneath the stair- due to being in a school environment this guard rail prevents any possible injury by walking into the underside of the metal stair.
