Our customer Andy wanted to increase his outdoor space and take full advantage of the view over the fields to the rear of his property, and our walk-out-balconies with glass balustrading of course fit the bill for both requirements.

When installing a new raised balcony system, there is generally a planning requirement for 1.8m high privacy screens to the sides of any adjoining neighbours, and Andy’s project followed suit, but maintained clear glass to the whole rear aspect of the balcony area at the standard height of 1.1m.

This walk-on balcony system is one of our most popular combinations using galvanized and powdercoated base steelwork in the modern RAL colour 7016 Anthracite Grey complete with stainless steel and glass balustrading to the perimeter. The decking used was a grey composite system that is made to last, much like the balcony itself.

For this example, we offered a full service of survey, design, manufacture and installation however we also regularly dispatch our walk-out balcony structures all over the UK for DIY assembly as any local builder or tradesperson should easily be able to install.

Our walk-out balcony systems are all designed in our own offices, manufactured in our own Sheffield workshops and comprise of locally sourced materials including steel, glass, composite decking and fixings- There are very few items we ever use that are not purchased from local suppliers in Yorkshire. For installations, we would only ever use our own fitters to ensure a quality of service all the way through from quotation to final sign-off.
