Our customer Richard gained planning permission to install a walk-out balcony system on the sea-front in Blackpool. The balcony chosen was our Walk-Out Balcony and Glass Balustrade system complete with powdercoated steelwork and raised privacy screens to the neighbouring sides.

Obtaining permission for the balcony was a doddle for Richard as the neighbouring property already had a similar balcony system installed. The only stipulation was that raised frosted 1.8m high privacy screens were used to the neighbouring elevations- this is a common planning requirement and standard option on our balcony quoting tool.

Clear glass was used on the frontage to make the best of the sea and beach views and the balcony now provides functional external space at first floor level and at 1metre projection allows for a table and chairs to enjoy in nicer weather.

All our walk-out balconies come with steel joists and grey composite decking as standard and Richard chose the powdercoating in white to match the windows and doors on the front elevation of the building.

DioMet completed a full service for this balcony including survey, design, manufacture and installation. Several neighbours have already been in contact since the installation so expect to see us in the Las Vegas of England again soon!
