39mm Walk-On Floor Glass Panel (Made to Measure)

Our thickest, heavy-duty walk-on floor glass, cut to your size. At 39mm it is built for the largest spans and the most demanding floors, supplied as glass only, ready to seat into your own opening or frame. Build and finish

39mm toughened and laminated glass: three 12mm toughened panels bonded together (triple laminate)
All edges polished as standard, with a 5mm radius to each corner
Glass only; a steel support frame can be made to order (ask us)

Being the thickest in our range, 39mm carries larger unsupported spans than our thinner floor glass, which makes it the go-to for bigger openings and heavier-use or commercial floors. The right thickness always depends on the span, location, use and how the glass is supported, so check with a structural glass engineer for anything unusual.

Non-slip options

Glass underfoot can be slippery, so for anything walked on regularly we recommend a non-slip finish:

Checkerplate top layer: the top pane finished with a raised, sandblasted checkerplate pattern for maximum grip underfoot
Invisible non-slip coating: a clear surface treatment, good for about five years, tested to a Pendulum Test Value (PTV) of 68 (the dry low-slip-risk threshold is only 36). It helps on wet glass too, but stay cautious when wet

Border and condensation options

Back-painted border: a colour-painted edge that masks where the glass seats, hiding fixings, silicone or adhesive from view
Ritec anti-condensation coating: a clear underside coating that encourages condensation to sheet off the glass; it eases rather than eliminates it, so deal with the underlying damp as well

Made to order
