Glass Staircase Spindles

Toughened glass panels can be used to upgrade or renovate an existing timber staircase or form part of a new build project. Using glass offers excellent light transfer, seemingly opening up staircase and landing areas to appear larger than they actually are whilst providing a quality finish unrivalled by any timber or acrylic infills.

Safety glass can be used in your staircase in either full length panels or installed as multiple ‘spindles’ to create the desired visual effect. Spindle panels are often easier to install as they offer greater tolerance and flexibility; being able to space out each panel as required can reduce any sizing discrepancies.

See below a recent example project where our client opted for staircase and landing glass spindle panels with powdercoated black glazing clamps between his existing oak stair rails. The glass panels were made-to-measure and delivered to our customer’s door for DIY installation.
