New Extension Balustrades

‘Our client in Sheffield required glass balustrades to a new external patio and staircase. Two designs were used to optimise both functionality and aesthetics with our frameless glass channel balustrade to the main patio and our framed glass system with handrail to the garden steps, click for more info and pictures’ 

This project required a site survey, design, manufacture and installation of two balustrade styles :

1. Our frameless system 4 ‘infinity’ glass balustrade

This frameless glass system uses a base channel track to secure structural glass panels to form the balustrade guarding. No posts are required and no handrails needed ( so long as laminated glass is used). This design was therefore chosen to provide uninterrupted views into the garden from the terrace and through the new bi-fold doors.

2. Our framed system 1 stainless steel balustrade

This framed design uses stainless steel upright posts and tubular handrails with glass secured in a clamp system to form the balustrade. This system was used to the patio steps and to provide a cost-effective functional means of access to the garden area below. All balustrades were installed by DioMet in Sheffield over the course of one day.
