Working for main contactor Henry Boot Construction, Dio-Met have completed the design, manufacture and installation of various internal stainless steel and glass balustrades at The Quad at Butterfield Business Park in Luton, click blog for more information.

Dio-Met have worked with Henry Boot PLC, one of the UK’s largest construction companies for many years and this latest project at The Quad in Luton features 10 office units of various size and function, all now fully let, for which DioMet provided the architectural metalwork including glass balustrades and handrails as below.

The balustrade design centres around our Stainless Steel and Glass Balustrade System 1; one of our most popular products and was custom made and installed by core-drilling the posts into pre-cast concrete steps over 3 flights. This glazed balustrade system as pictured comprises :

• 48mm tubuar upright baluster posts
• 42mm tubular handrails and wall fixed rails
• Proprietary D-shaped clamping system
• 10mm clear toughened safety glass
• All materials in 304G stainless steel, satin (brushed) finish
• Design to 0.74kN loading
